About these terms

These terms apply to all quotes, bookings and services provided by Man Van Gosforth. By booking with us you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Quotes

Quotes are based on the information you provide. If the actual job differs significantly — for example, far more items, difficult access or a changed address — the price may need to be adjusted, and we will always discuss this with you before proceeding.

Bookings & cancellations

Your booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date and price. If you need to change or cancel, please let us know as early as possible so we can rearrange. We will explain any cancellation terms at the time of booking.

Our responsibilities

We will carry out your move with reasonable care and skill, using appropriate equipment and an experienced team. We will take care to protect your belongings during loading, transit and unloading.

Your responsibilities

Please ensure items are ready to move (unless you have booked packing), declare any especially heavy, fragile or valuable items, and arrange suitable parking and access where possible. Please do not ask us to transport prohibited, hazardous or illegal goods.

Liability

We carry out every move with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for items packed by you that are damaged due to inadequate packing, nor for pre-existing damage, normal wear, or items of exceptional value that were not declared in advance. If anything is damaged through our fault, please tell us promptly so we can put it right.

Payment

Payment is due as agreed at the time of booking. Because your quote is fixed, the agreed price is what you pay, barring significant changes to the job as described above.

Complaints

If anything isn't right, please tell us as soon as possible so we can put it right. We take all feedback seriously and aim to resolve any issue quickly and fairly.
